What you would be doing
We are on the lookout for an ambitious Student Assistant to join our Data Solutions team based in our Gentofte office. This is a unique opportunity for you to develop your skills in a dynamic and expanding team, and we guarantee you a steep but extremely exciting learning curve where your contributions will be of equal value as your team members’. You will have vast opportunities for taking on your own projects and influencing the way we work with data analytics, modelling, and machine learning in the future. 

By enabling data-driven decision-making and directly supporting and engaging with stakeholders, you will play an integral role in driving real business impact and contributing to Ultrabulk's success.

Among other interesting tasks and projects, you will have the opportunity to work with and support: 

  • Digitalisation across the organisation
  • Advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives
  • Data engineering projects and pipeline development
  • Dashboarding and ad-hoc analysis to support strategic decision making
  • Automation of tasks and processes
  • Development of process optimisation tools
  • Improvement of the data infrastructure
  • Working with stakeholders within different areas of the business

We offer a flexible working week of 2-3 days, with more hours required during holiday periods and fewer hours during your exam periods.

Furthermore, we are looking for the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Currently in your first semester of a master’s degree within Data Science, Informatics, Engineering, Economics, or Mathematics
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with passion for the business
  • Knowledge of SQL, R and/or Python
  • Proactive, creative and full of initiative
  • Experience with data modelling, machine learning and/or statistical analysis tools is an advantage but not a requirement 
  • Fluency in both oral and written English 
  • Appreciate working in a multicultural and diverse environment
  • Have a residence and work permit allowing you to work in Denmark
