Chartering Executive (Full-time)
Do you thrive in a dynamic international environment, have a sharp commercial mindset, and enjoy being at the heart of a fast-moving, global shipping operation? This is your opportunity to join Ultrabulk (Australia) Pty. Ltd.'s global voyage as a Chartering Executive, where market insight meets impact.
What you will be doing
Based in our Sydney office, you will join a professional and friendly team focused on delivering high-quality results while enjoying a collaborative and social atmosphere. As Chartering Executive, you will work closely with colleagues across continents, supporting Ultrabulk (Australia) Pty. Ltd.'s dry bulk shipping activities and playing a vital role in our commercial success.
Your mission is two-fold: to drive Ultrabulk (Australia) Pty. Ltd.'s chartering activities in the dry bulk market with sharp commercial acumen and structured efficiency, and to continuously seek opportunities to improve and optimise our commercial performance.
Among other interesting tasks, you will be:
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, markets, trades, and clients
- Fixing Ultrabulk (Australia) Pty. Ltd.'s vessels in the market, on voyage or time charter
- Procuring vessels for cargo commitments and negotiating charter party agreements
- Creating, negotiating, and executing both single and multiple cargo contracts, including terms, rates, laytime, and other commercial aspects
- Maintaining and developing market knowledge, monitoring trends, and analysing competitor activity
- Managing risk and exposure, reviewing counterpart risk, and ensuring contracts are legally correct and terms are honoured
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with clients, brokers, and partners
- Visiting industrial clients and brokers to strengthen partnerships and market presence
We expect you to actively challenge the status quo and bring forward new perspectives on how we run and grow the business with the goal of creating value and boosting performance.
To succeed in the job
We envision that you have completed a Shipping Trainee programme and gained experience within the shipping industry, possibly in chartering, operations, or a similar field, and are now looking to apply your expertise in a structured, globally connected setting.

Furthermore, you are:
